Visit for more info here: http://buydogpainmedication.comMini is a 7 year old Chihuahua who was injured in Tijuana as a puppy and had her rear leg amputated.
I adopted her as a 9 m/o puppy from Friends of Humane Society de Tijuana. Until around year 5, she was amazingly mobile on 3 legs and loved to tear up and down the beach retrieving balls. At around 5-6 years old, she began to show signs of arthritis. It wasn’t until I saw a photo of her I’d taken at Fiesta Island, that I realized she had been walking in her wrists! Her front lower leg joints were completely shot.
Since then, she’s had diagnostics to determine her type of arthritis, which is osteo, and throughout her body now. She’s on anti-inflammatory and pain meds daily.
Recently, I heard of a medicine called Adequan, which has rave reviews from people whose dogs are responding favorably to treatment. Adequan both repairs joint tissue and relieves pain. She’s almost done with a 4 wk course of IM injections twice weekly and look at her go!
I’m so grateful that there’s something available to help her with her crippling pain. She will now get an injection once monthly, indefinitely. Looking forward to seeing more of this in her future.
